Simon Emeny, Specialist Markets Director at LRQA, responsible for the LRQA strategic markets initiative in nuclear power and energy transition.  Simon has worked across the global nuclear supply chain and also in conformity assessment for sectors including Energy Transition, gas, rail and chemicals.  Simon is a Fellow of the IMechE; vice chair of the IMechE Pressure Systems Group Board and the IMechE Technical Strategy Board.  He is currently directing the ITPIA activity at Sizewell B (SNUPPS); Hinkley Point C (EPR); Rolls Royce SMR (PWR); and Sizewell C (EPR) he is also a technical authority for ISO19443.  Previously Simon has engaged with EU Working Party on Guidelines for the EU Pressure Equipment Directive, including representing the EU Notified Bodies at the expert meetings from 2005 to 2016.  Simon is also a contributing member to the IAEA NHSI Industry track TG2 and the WNA SC & LTO Working Group. Simon has collaborated with a wide variety of projects and stakeholders including Sines LNG Terminal creating a training programme; Romanian Government via the EU TAIEX programme; UNIFE and the IRIS scheme.
