Andrzej G. Chmielewski graduated from Warsaw UT in nuclear chemical engineering. Postdoc at UT, Knoxville, USA, and a TO at IAEA, Vienna. DG of the Institute of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology (INCT).He was a member of the IAEA DG Standing Advisory Group and Deputy Chairman of the State Council on Nuclear Safety and Radiological Protection, c/o Polish Atomic Energy Agency. He represented Poland at the Euratom Supply Agency, at the Fuel Cycle NEA OECD, and at the Reliable Nuclear Fuel Services Group, GNEP. He served as a president of the Polish Nuclear Society and Environmentalist for Nuclear Energy Society and as a board member and director of the International Irradiation Association. He was awarded the Chevalier and Officer Crosses of Polonia Restituta, Republic of Poland, and Commandeur de l’Ordre des Palmes Academiques, Republic of France
