Tomasz Piotrowski, D.Sc. Eng., is a Professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Warsaw University of Technology, and Management Board Advisor on Nuclear Technology at PZPB-Atom, the Polish nuclear industry association, where he focuses on local content for Poland's nuclear new-build programme at Choczewo. With over a decade of experience in nuclear engineering, he specializes in radiation-shielding concrete for nuclear facilities and developed an original method for calculating fast-neutron moderation and thermal-neutron absorption in concrete, validated under the NCBiR LIDER project NGS-Concrete. He co-authored recommendations incorporated into the AFCEN RCC-CW standard via CEN Workshop Agreement and has contributed to the IFMIF-DONES project under EUROfusion and to ageing diagnostics for the MARIA research reactor (NCBJ). He also serves as Deputy Chair of the Mazovian Chamber of Civil Engineers (MOIIB) and is a recognized BIM expert, having chaired Poland's BIM Working Group at the Ministry of Development and Technology.
